Managing Users, Roles & Access

Invite team members, assign roles, and control who can see and manage your organization's assets and security data in the Sentrivox portal.

Team access in Sentrivox

Sentrivox lets you give your whole IT team access to the portal while controlling exactly what each person can see and do. Access is scoped to your organization, so every team member sees only your company's assets and security data.

Inviting a team member

1
Open user management
Go to Settings → Users in the portal. This is where you manage everyone who can access your organization.
2
Send an invite
Click "Invite user", enter their email address, and choose the role you want to assign them.
3
They accept and set a password
The invitee receives an email, activates their account, and sets their own password — then they can log in.

Roles and permissions

Roles determine what each user can do. Typical roles include:

  • Administrator — full access, including managing users, agents, and organization settings.
  • Analyst / Member — can view and work with assets, security findings, and vulnerabilities, but cannot change org-wide settings or manage users.
  • Viewer — read-only access to dashboards and reports, ideal for leadership or auditors.
💡
Follow least privilege
Give each person the minimum role they need. Reserve the Administrator role for the small number of people who genuinely manage the platform.

Removing access

When someone leaves the team or changes roles, update or remove their access from Settings → Users right away. Revoking access immediately ensures former team members can no longer view your organization's security data.

⚠️
Offboard promptly
Stale accounts are a common security gap. Make removing portal access part of your standard employee offboarding checklist.
